Job Title: Laser Operator (Flat Laser)
Salary: Based off of experience
Shift: 2nd Shift - 3:30 pm to 1:30 am M-Th, Overtime Fridays as needed
Summary: The laser operator position safely performs laser cutting operations and selects the proper cutting programs / fixtures for a variety of manufacturing products
Job Responsibilities:
- Keep work area clean and safe
- Establish proper stop location, adjust laser beam focal point
- Make proper set-ups for cutting operations
- Perform prescribed maintenance as required
- Perform all dimensional inspections
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor
- Perform variety of other tasks as required by production
Qualifications / Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong work ethic and excellent attendance
- 2 years prior laser operator experience
- Attention to detail, self-motivated and able to shift priorities
- Leadership skills
- Strong orientation towards quality, safety and continuous improvement
- Competent at dimensional measuring and solid understanding of precision measurement tools
- Competent at basic shop math
- Able to read blueprints
- Able to work as a team and coordinate work with other departments
