Summary
A rigger is responsible for fastening heavy loads to transportation equipment and controlling, supervising and directing the equipment's operators.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as cranes, excavators, and loaders to facilitate construction tasks.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed on the construction site to prevent accidents.
- Collaborate with team members to plan and execute rigging operations efficiently.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Transport materials using commercial vehicles like dump trucks and water trucks as needed.
- Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with cranes, excavators, and loaders.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of construction site protocols.
- Valid commercial driving license with experience operating concrete mixers and various trucks (dump, water).
- Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery and other relevant construction equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and adhere to safety regulations.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
