Position Title: Actuary 2 - Life/Health/Annuities
Location: Remote (Preferred candidates local to Bloomington, IL, or within driving distance)
Compensation: Competitive salary, excellent benefits, 6% annual bonus, relocation assistance available.
Remote Work: 100% remote available; however, we are unable to set up payroll in the following states: California, District of Columbia, Kentucky, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, West Virginia.
Job Overview:
As an Actuary 2 specializing in Life, Health, and Annuities, you will utilize various actuarial tools, including modeling software, data visualization applications, programming languages, and Microsoft Office, to develop and build actuarial assumptions and models. Your work will be integral in ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines, particularly around illustration regulations and annual testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actuarial Modeling & Assumptions: Build actuarial models and assumptions using actuarial modeling software, data visualization tools, and other relevant software.
- Communication & Documentation: Effectively communicate results to management, both in written reports and presentations. Document all work according to actuarial standards and best practices.
- Actuarial Designation Progress: Actively work towards achieving your actuarial designation from the Society of Actuaries (SOA).
- Pricing & Compliance: Be proficient in actuarial pricing models, ensuring work is completed efficiently. Ensure that all contracts and annual tests meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency with actuarial pricing models.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry guidelines, especially concerning illustration regulations and annual testing.
- Dedication to progressing toward a designation from the Society of Actuaries.
