Electrician Steel Production (Industrial Maintenance)
Location: Lexington, KY
About the Role:
Our client is seeking experienced Electricians to support ongoing operations and drive continuous improvement. As a leader in steel production and recycling, the company prioritizes safety, innovation, and teamwork. Electricians play a crucial role in ensuring reliable operations, minimizing downtime, and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform day-to-day electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on production equipment.
- Support automation systems, including PLC troubleshooting and programming.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to optimize performance and pursue process improvements.
- Conduct predictive and preventive maintenance using CMMS or related systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.
- Be flexible to work rotating schedules, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Shifts:
- 4 on / 4 off, 12-hour rotating schedule (days/nights).
Projected Annual Compensation:
- Attractive base (not including benefits), plus potential for profit sharing.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 years of experience in industrial (or comparable) electrical maintenance, OR
- Equivalent education/military training in Electrical.
- Must have at least a 2-year electrical or related technical degree OR military training in Electrical.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in steel mill electrical maintenance.
- Strong understanding of power systems and automation technologies.
- Expertise in PLC troubleshooting and programming.
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics and mechanics.
- Proven experience in process improvement and collaboration with operations.
- Additional certifications or degrees in Electrical or related fields.
