Position: Engineer III - Waste Management
Location: Portland, Oregon

Salary: $94,605 - $131,444
Responsibilities:
- Manage engineering and construction at solid waste disposal facilities.
- Direct and mentor junior staff while engaging with professional consulting firms for project execution.
- Maintain relationships with regulators and represent the client in permit meetings and site inspections.
- Oversee landfill construction projects, including managing contractors, budgets, and bid documents.
- Track capital budgets for engineering projects and provide reports to management.
- Evaluate sites for adherence to permit documents and potential expansion.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop cost-effective engineering solutions for operational and environmental issues.
- Assist with acquisitions and divestitures, including proforma modeling and due diligence.
- Provide training and mentorship to technical staff.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering (preferred).
- Experience: 5 years of related experience.
- Skills: Landfill and construction experience, strong project management, and regulatory knowledge (solid waste, air, stormwater, wastewater).
- Travel: Willing to travel up to 50%, including to remote locations.
- Proficiency: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), excellent verbal and written communication skills.
