Life Actuarial Pricing Manager (Remote)
Location: Bloomington, IL (Preferred local candidates; open to 100% remote, but not available in CA, DC, KY, NH, NJ, NY, PA, VT, WV)
Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a Life Actuarial Pricing Manager to oversee and develop a team within the life/health/annuity actuarial division. In this role, you will manage the product development process from idea generation to implementation, ensuring competitive and profitable products. You will also provide technical consultation to senior management, influencing decisions around product pricing, profitability, modeling, underwriting, and more.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team through the product development process, ensuring products are competitive, profitable, and compliant.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of disaster recovery plans and staff communication during a disaster.
- Monitor industry trends and the profitability of products, offering insights for product adjustments.
- Collaborate with other divisions, such as valuation and underwriting, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
- Guide the professional development of your team, providing mentorship to newer actuaries and building bench strength.
- Maintain compliance with actuarial standards, regulations, and continuing education requirements.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- Extensive experience working with Life and/or Annuity products.
- Strong technical, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proven Life Pricing experience.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience leading direct reports.
