Position: Property/Casualty Actuarial Analyst 2
Location: Bloomington, IL (Hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 days remote)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a Property/Casualty (P/C) Actuarial Analyst 2 to join our team in Bloomington, IL. This role involves analyzing data to develop rate adjustment proposals, reserve estimates, and economic capital models, as well as providing actuarial support for state insurance filings. You will collaborate with other teams to implement new rates and rating plans, recommend changes, and provide solutions for actuarial and product line management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis to support rate adjustments, reserve estimates, and economic capital models.
- Provide actuarial support for state insurance department filings.
- Analyze data to recommend and develop actuarial solutions for product lines.
- Develop and propose solutions that influence actuarial strategies, pricing, underwriting, risk management, and profitability.
- Serve as the P/C actuarial representative for project committees, participating in the development of actuarial techniques, standards, and assumptions.
- Specialize in pricing/product development, including rating structures and premium determination.
- Support product line and state managers in premium rates, pricing structures, and profitability forecasts.
Non-Negotiable Requirements:
- Experience in Property/Casualty actuarial work.
- At least a few years of actuarial experience (this position can be filled at either the Actuarial Analyst 2 or Actuarial Analyst 3 level, depending on experience).
- Completion of at least 3-5 actuarial exams.
- Pursuit of Casualty Actuarial Society designation (ACAS or higher).
Role in the Organization:
As an Actuarial Analyst, you will contribute to the development of basic to highly complex actuarial formulas and strategies. You will play a key role in influencing management decisions on products, pricing, underwriting, and risk management, with a focus on ensuring profitability and sustainable growth. Additionally, you will support large-scale actuarial projects and initiatives and work cross-functionally to achieve company objectives.
