- 1st Shift: 6:30AM - 3PM
- Plus Overtime
Pay Rate
- $20 - $21 / hour
Job Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for performing physical counts of product in the warehouse, using lift equipment, performing audits in areas of the warehouse, researching inventory discrepancies and irregularities, reconciles errors, and document inventory findings; and identifying inventory shortages and reports findings.
Job Responsibilities
- You will analyze inventory-related statistics to identify problems and correct inventory variances.
- Research the issue to determine which information will illustrate where, when, how, and why the problem is occurring; Use the appropriate data; and create reports for management.
- Review variance recounts and special request cycle counts to determine inventory corrective actions.
- You will conduct special studies as assigned.
- Help with the yearly physical reconciliation process and prepare appropriate reports for management review.
- Follow all company safety and security procedures.
- Maintain attendance according to company policy.
- Other responsibilities, and activities as assigned
Job Requirements
- Working knowledge of PC's, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in utilizing inventory management systems and other software (ERP / WMS)
- Combination of strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills, as Inventory Control associates need to collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues
- Must be able to clearly communicate their findings, propose solutions, and work together with others to implement necessary changes.
- The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines is also important, as inventory management requires swift action to prevent disruptions in the supply chain.
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of training and experience is required.
- 3 to 5 Years inventory control experience preferably in a medium to large company is required.
