Staff Management Group is seeking a Quality Control Technician for our client in Hillside, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.
Schedule:
- 3rd Shift: 10PM - 6:30AM
- 6 Days a Week
- Plus Overtime
Pay Rate:
- $18 - $20 / hour
Job Summary:
The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for testing, sampling, and inspection within the Quality Department. He or she willbe a team player, a quick learner, and have attention to detail.
If you are familiar with food regulations like SQF, FSMA, or HACCP, and can think and workindependently, do basic math, and communicate professionally, this is the place to be. Your roleinvolves performing various tests, inspections, and analyses on all required in-process samples,and finished products, to ensure product specifications comply. You will lead the evolution of arobust Quality and Food Safety Culture by reinforcing the importance of Good Manufacturing.
Job Responsibilities:
- Testing of food products and raw materials
- Following strict regulatory and safety guidelines
- Calibrate instruments and follow GMP’s
- Assist with internal audits and keep a detailed lab notebook
- Communicate professionally with the quality team as well as others.
- Inspect the facility for regulatory compliance
- Assist the team as needed with sanitation, inventory and housekeeping
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate’s or Technical degree in the sciences
