Staffmark is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic in Carson, CA! Pay: $30.00/hr

1st Shift Hours: 7:00 AM-4:00 PM, Monday-Friday (weekends off!)

Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety programs and OSHA regulations.
  • Handle hazardous waste per EPA guidelines.
  • Repair and service machinery (torches, grinders, lathe, drill press, etc.).
  • Maintain air compressors, sandblast systems, boilers, and other equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on cranes, forklifts, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Support plant operations, including facility system inspections and equipment servicing.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of preventative maintenance experience with a variety of operation equipment (cranes, conveyors, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, forklifts, compressors, etc.).
  • 2 years of experience in the manufacturing industry.
  • Basic knowledge of welding, torch cutting, lathe, and drill press operation.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, walking, twisting, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing; lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds.
