What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Worker position at Staffmark Group?
Ready to try something new? Staffmark is hiring an entry-level Production Worker to join our team in Aberdeen, MD. In this role, you'll be responsible for activities related to assembly, quality, packing, and production operations. If you are ready for a change from retail or customer service, this is it!
Pay : $19 / hour
We have multiple shifts available to meet your work-life balance needs!
2nd Shift Hours : 1 PM - 11 PM, Monday-Friday
3rd Shift Hours : 8 : 30 PM - 6 : 30 AM, Sunday-Thursday
Essential Functions :
- Obtain carton blanks, form and fold cartons, staple ends, apply labels, and load cartons into the pack out machines.
- Monitor the operation and quality of the product, ensuring everything is up to standard.
- Troubleshoot any malfunctions or product defects, following machine troubleshooting procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, as well as the equipment in use.
- Follow all safety protocols, including proper lock-out procedures during repairs or machine adjustments, and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Operate the overhead bridge crane to load and unload raw materials, along with other hand-powered tools (training provided)
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
The candidate selected must be capable of standing for the full duration of each shift and lifting 50 pounds. Prior knowledge and experience of machinery in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
