Structural Welder

Pay & Shift Schedule: 2nd Shift: 6:00 PM - 5:30 AM | $20/hr

You will be responsible for understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures in the shop, setting up equipment, and welding metal parts together using both gas welding and various arc welding processes. You'll use cutting torches and carbon air torches to unite different parts of the steel structure and ensure that all work passes the required performance or certification tests. Maintaining a clean work environment through proper waste disposal and housekeeping practices will be essential. Additionally, you'll support the team by assisting with other tasks as needed and following guidance from your supervisor or manager.

What We're Looking For:

• 2-4 years of experience in welding fabrication of structural steel.
• Experience with 6G Flux core weld tests using 1/16 wire.
• Proficient in gas and arc welding, including cutting and carbon air torches.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong attention to detail, safety, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a shop environment with typical welding hazards (fumes, arc flash, noise, etc.).
• Physical demands include standing, bending, and climbing
