Job Summary

We are currently hiring a remote Background Screening Specialist II for our HR Compliance team, and our ideal candidate will possess a passion for impacting lives and our community. The primary purpose of this position is to compile, enter in operating system, and maintain results of employee background checks, serve as a liaison between background vendor and branch locations, and to resolve background screening related problems. This is a remote/virtual position.

Essential Duties

Your Day-to-Day Leadership includes Activities such as these:

  • Track background screening issues and concerns, work with management/vendors with resolution of issues
  • Communicate daily with branches, providing advice and assistance in administration of the background screening program
  • Serve as liaison between HR corporate, branches and clients; answer questions, resolve problems
  • Enter in new background requests into background vendor portal and maintain up-to-date listing of background statuses.
  • Follow up with background vendor on late reports and maintain a variety of records, files, logs, and databases.
  • Review and communicate results and enter data into operating systems; provide hard copies to branches when requested in addition to operating computer and peripheral equipment necessary to process data and maintains properly labeled claim files.
  • Work with vendor in handling FCRA compliance and maintain KPI Performance of a minimum of 120 reports tracked per day.

Competencies

Competencies we value for this role include:

Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in additional to 4 years of experience in human resources. Experience in developing strong vendor partnerships and relationships and managing vendor performance. Experience with multi-state compliance and comprehension and familiarity of legal terms and documentation. Utmost integrity including ability to work with confidential data. Be very detail oriented, proven, strong organizational skills and an ability to effectively prioritize in a multi-task environment and work under pressure. Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. Proficient skills in the use of Microsoft Office products (Word and Excel).
