Job Title : Instructional Designer / Curriculum Developer / Instructor (Part-time; short term
project)
Job Location : Hybrid
Remote for the design and development portion of project, instruction of course is in-person in
Hawaii. If not located in Hawaii, location preference would be West Coast. If not in Hawaii,
there will be travel involved.
Requirements :
Education : Bachelor’s Degree; higher degree preferred.
Experience : Five years of experience with government entities facilitating WIOA-related fiscal
training sessions of a similar nature, with at least three positive references. Preferred facilitator
with thorough understanding of and / or experience in WIOA fiscal policies and expectations
specific to Hawaii. And at least 2 years or more of experience in training design, development,
and instructor led, in person adult facilitation.
Technology Requirements : Proficiency in various Adobe products, Microsoft Suite and other
authoring tools.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities :
Ability to understand technical content, communicate well with subject matter experts,
and translate technical content to non-technical staff.
Ability to manage project efficiently, balancing shifting priorities.
Knowledge and ability to perform a range of standard and technical assignments to meet
time-critical tasks and resolve recurring problems.
Capacity to work independently or as a contributing team-member in a results-oriented
environment; being both flexible and detail-oriented.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals from
diverse backgrounds and abilities.
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
Exceptional verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
Duties :
Attendance at all necessary meetings including an meeting with the State of Hawaii
Workforce Development Council (WDC) Executive Director, State of Hawaii
Department of Labor and Industrial Relations Administrative Services Officer and
Workforce Development Division Administrator to review training plans.
Responsible for the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of the
following training products.
Preparatory training including the training outline and any pre-work
Training outline
Proposed schedule (timeline of deliverables and training)
Execution of the training on-site (Hawaii)
Updated fiscal operations manual.
