JOB DESCRIPTION:
The ARD Facilitator will coordinate and ensure compliance with all legal requirements of the ARD/Individual Education Plan (IEP) process. The ARD Facilitator will work cooperatively with administrators, the Special Education Department, and instructional personnel to provide the most appropriate programs for students with disabilities. The ARD facilitator will coordinate, plan, and facilitate ARD meetings. The ARD Facilitator will contact parents to schedule meetings at a mutually agreeable time, to increase parent participation. The ARD Facilitator will prepare the ARD document and collect required documents from various staff members to utilize in making informed decisions for students receiving special education services.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor, assist, and coach campus staff in completing ARD documentation
Prepare paperwork for all ARD meetings and staffing on assigned campus(es)
Facilitate and participate in all ARD meetings and staffing on assigned campus(es)
Provide professional learning on assigned campus(es) to assist school personnel in programming for students with disabilities
Participate in required professional learning and meetings, and follow all year-end procedures related to job assignment
Effectively communicate with supervisors, colleagues, students and parents as well as maintaining positive and effective relationships
Serve as a resource to campus administration on the implementation of special education services
Support District and department goals
Coordinate with testing diagnostician regarding special education student needs
Stay up to date professionally through the selection of quality staff development opportunities for personal growth
Perform other duties and accept other responsibilities as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in Special Education with a minimum of three years of completing Admission Review Dismissal (ARD) paperwork in a data management system
Demonstrated knowledge of Special Education law, policies, procedures, and best practices related to the implementation of Special Education services
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
Valid Special Education Certification
Minimum of 4 years of experience in Special Education with a minimum of three years of completing Admission Review Dismissal (ARD) paperwork in a data management system
Demonstrated knowledge of Special Education law, policies, procedures, and best practices related to the implementation of Special Education services
Proficiency in a variety of computer software programs
Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Educational Diagnostician Certification preferred

Ensure that all federal and state requirements are met when conducting ARD meetings.
Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education, and local board policy in the areas of assessment, placement, and planning for students with disabilities
Comply with all district and local campus routines and procedures.
Remain current on best practices, Special Education law, policies and procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $318.98 - $459.02 per day
