NON-AFFILIATED POSITION (Grant-Funded)

POSITION : Senior Child Care Educator

Full-time (35 hours per week; 7 hours per day; 10 : 00 a.m. - 5 : 30 p.m.)

LOCATION : West Stafford School

REQUIREMENTS : Associates Degree Preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Develop and implement lessons and units using Common Core State Standards and ELDS
• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum encouraging self-esteem and independence for the social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of each child.
• Provide care and supervision of children enrolled in the program.
• Supervise child care assistants.
• Ensure that the program is in compliance with School Readiness and NAEYC standards.
• Carry out all record-keeping and reporting requirements for the child care program.
• Communicate effectively with staff and families on an ongoing basis.
• Apprise Family Resource Center Leader or building administrator of student family needs.
• Function as a positive, contributing member of a team.
• Participate in child care team meetings.
• Ensure that classroom equipment and materials are organized for use.
• Maintain confidentiality of family / staff / school-related information.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Family Resource Center Leader or building administrator.

HOURLY RATE OF PAY : $20.00 per hour
