Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Kennel Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess the necessary skills to provide exceptional service in a kennel environment.
Duties:
- Provide daily care for animals including feeding, watering, and exercising
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kennels and common areas
- Monitor animal behavior and health, reporting any concerns to the supervisor
- Assist with animal handling, restraint, and grooming as needed
- Administer medications under veterinary supervision
- Interact with pet owners and provide updates on their pets' well-being
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in pet care, veterinary assistance, or related field is preferred
- Ability to handle animals with care and compassion
- Proficient in animal restraint techniques
- Capable of heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with animal care
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Experience in pet grooming or animal behavior training
- Familiarity with various breeds of animals
- Knowledge of basic medical procedures for animals
