What are the responsibilities and job description for the Civil Roadway Engineer position at StaffSource?

Job Responsibilities

Independently designing and drafting roadway and drainage projects using AutoCAD
Design experience and plans preparation for roadways, drainage, water and sanitary sewer
Developing maintenance of traffic schemes, construction phasing and traffic control plans
Developing project cost estimates and specifications
Managing projects / tasks of various sizes for a variety of clients
Managing client relationships with public and private clients, including contractors
Coordinating roadway and drainage design tasks with other service groups

Required Attributes :

Education : Bachelors Degree

Specific Degree Required : Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering

Years of Experience : 3-5

Computer Skills Required : AutoCAD, Misc design software

High proficiency using AutoCAD for design and plans preparation.

Need to be organized, have good technical writing and communication skills, and be a self-starter.

Must be able to take a project from inception to completion, including design and drafting.

Preferred Attributes :

Communication skills are a must

The ability to look at the big picture relative to the project goals and coordinate various design disciplines

Must be able to work independently as well as in a team

Appropriate appearance and manners to attend meetings with clients
