Database Engineer

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Database Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience in database administration and at least 3 years of experience in database development and support, including ETL processes and programming. This role requires strong technical expertise in Snowflake data engineering along with proficiency in SQL and experience working with modern data tools and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer, maintain, and optimize databases to ensure performance, security, and reliability.
• Design, develop, and support database solutions and ETL pipelines to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
• Develop and manage data integration workflows, ensuring data consistency and accuracy across systems.
• Implement and maintain data engineering solutions utilizing Snowflake.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data requirements and troubleshoot data-related issues.
• Utilize Azure Data Factory, Alteryx, S3 buckets, and SQL to build, monitor, and optimize data pipelines.
• Support database development initiatives, including writing efficient SQL queries and scripts.
• Assist with the administration of SQL Server environments as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience in database administration.
• 3 years of experience in database development/support, including ETL processes and programming.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake data engineering.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Alteryx, S3 buckets, and proficiency in SQL language.
• Familiarity with SQL Server database administration is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with data warehousing best practices.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms and modern data architectures.
• Knowledge of database security, compliance, and performance tuning.
