What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembly position at Staffworks?
Final Assembly/Dock worker
Hours:6AM.-4PM., Monday-Thursday, Friday overtime as needed 6AM.-11AM.
Job Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret drawings and project documents ensuring case work and panels are built to specifications
- Fabrication of furniture including cabinets, laminate casework, counter tops, paneling, wall systems, and more
- Use of standard woodworking equipment and hand tools for milling, fabrication, sanding, and assembly
- Packing wood furniture in cartons, unloading racks of parts, and piling on pallets to be banded and shrink-wrapped
- Help with loading and unloading trucks with pallet jacks
- Quality craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Strict adherence to safety standards and keeping area clean
- Maintenance of shop machinery and tools
- Being part of a team and doing whatever it takes to meet timelines, quality standards and customer expectations
Job Requirements:
- Woodworking experience is a plus, but we are willing to train an individual who likes to work with their hands
- Reading shop drawings and following directions
- Attention to detail and commitment to high quality work
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Knowledge and compliance with safety practices
- Functional working knowledge of general hand tools and air tools
