Maintenance Technician

• This is a hands-on position, not a supervisory role.

Pay: 

• $27.00 - $ 32.00 per hour depending on experience

Hours/ Days: 

• TBD

Working :  M-F, %:00am until 3 :00pm after training with Saturdays as required.

• Training hours will be determined based on need, but usually will be 7am until 4pm, M-F.

Responsibilities and Duties, not limited to:

• Responsible for performing a variety of skilled maintenance work to maintain machinery, support equipment, molds and resin delivery systems. Work requires an in-depth knowledge of various trades.
• Repairs and replaces parts on mechanical equipment, blow molding machines, shredders grinders, blenders and support equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

•  Inspects and checks equipment for proper operating condition, makes necessary adjustments, logs test readings, and maintains, repairs, or replaces all essential equipment parts
• Read blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, mechanical/electrical diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.
• Align, fit, and assemble component parts, using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, templates, and calipers.
• Repair, rework, and calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies and systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances
• Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components for products such as industrial machinery or equipment.
• Investigate equipment failures and diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations.
• Perform preventative maintenance schedule on a regular basis, calibrate equipment and systems
• Perform job duties in conjunction with all established safety procedures and adhere to LO/TO requirements if working on production machinery.
• Help out with other maintenance and production dept. personnel with various projects and assignments.
• Maintain own tools, Company tools, a work area in clean and neat condition.

REQUIREMENTS:

•  High school diploma or GED. 3-5 years of hands-on Maintenance Technician experience.
• General housekeeping knowledge.
• Must be able to maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
• Good organizational , communication skill and ability to get along with others and communication skills.
• Ability to cooperate with others, Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to Lift 50 pounds

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Maintenance Technician does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND DEMANDS: Heavy Work: Heavy work involves lifting no more than 75 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Assistance with anything over 50 pounds.
