Quality Auditor
Job Summary:
The Quality Auditor is responsible for ensuring that all materials, components, and products received by the company meet quality standards and specifications. This role involves inspecting, testing, and verifying incoming materials for compliance with established requirements, ensuring that only approved and defect-free materials are used in production processes. The inspector also maintains detailed records of inspections and ensures the proper handling and storage of materials. The goal is to ensure the quality and integrity of materials used in manufacturing and to prevent defects in finished products.
Regular work schedule will reflect Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm.
Applicants can expect a base compensation range of $18.00 - $22.00 per hour. This is the reasonable estimate for this job based on applicable circumstances at the time of posting. Pay could be more or less than the posted range as permitted by law, and commensurate with the applicant’s experience, qualifications, and geographical location.
You will make a difference in the following ways:
- Conducts audits and component inspections in responsible areas by performing dimensional and mechanical measurements using micrometers, calipers, force gauges, dial indicators, thread and plug gauge, and other precision measuring tools.
- Verifies inspection and quality documentation is available and updated as needed.
- Inspect and verify incoming raw materials, components, and products for conformance to specifications and company standards
- Perform physical and/or visual inspections, measurements, and tests to determine material quality, including checking for defects, damages, or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and non-conformance reports in accordance with quality management systems
- Coordinate with the production and quality assurance teams to ensure materials are available and meet production requirements.
- Create rejection report for non-conforming materials
- Works with other departments and supervisors to answer questions, solve problems, get gauging or raise issue to appropriate levels of management or disposition.
- Collects and reports data from performed audits and accurately records the information using appropriate check sheets, Statistical Process Control (SPC), SAP, and/or Microsoft Office systems.
- Moves all rejected, non-confirming material to designated areas for sorting, testing, further disposition and verification.
11. Verifies all rejected material has been sorted to ensure non-conforming product has been removed
What you bring:
· Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED
· Knowledge:
o Microsoft Office Suite and SAP is preferred
o Ability to read a blueprint is preferred
o Ability to utilize precision hand tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages, thread gages, bore micrometers, etc.
o Ability to read, write and communicate in English
o Ability to follow and execute detailed processes/directions
o Ability to work effectively in a team environment in a culturally diverse workplace
· Customers Define Our Success: Provide support to the production floor, answer equipment repair and trouble-shooting requests to eliminate machine downtime and ensure continuous production.
Salary : $18 - $22
