Role: Java Lead Developer
Location: Berkeley Height, NJ (5 days a week in client office)
Duration: 6 months
Rate: $55/hr on W2/ $65/ Hr on 1099
What you will do:
- Lead transformative initiatives supporting Risk technology capabilities for Fortune 1000 clients, focusing on value-added services, and enhanced client experiences.
- Facilitate technology discussions and design workshops with multiple stakeholders to identify and evaluate architectural and technical requirements and develop solution design documents.
- Evaluate new project requirements and prepare high level technology effort estimates for proposed solution designs
- Review technical designs to ensure alignment to the architecture definition and adherence to compliance, security, and enterprise IT standards. Ensure all requirements are addresses in the technical solution
- Assist in resolving complex issues and incidents during implementation, testing, production and aiding in the implementation and stabilization of the solution
- Drive process improvement initiatives across the organization to increase productivity, reduce client-impacting defects, and ensure good quality fixes and no recurrence of issues
- Manage Cyber initiatives across Risk portfolio and liase with various stakeholders on identifying solutions and remediate the findings.
What you will need to have:
- 8 years of proven experience building and implementing Card payment aligned solutions
- 5 years of proven experience in solution design, ability to translate business requirements into high level designs and estimate time and effort to build the solution
- 3 years of solution architecture experience in consumer and corporate card payment products (debit, credit), card issuing platforms, end-to-end payment authorization process and card schemes
- Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale programs or initiatives, particularly in a Financial Services environment.
- Knowledge of JAVA, APIGEE, DevOps, Kubernetes, Azure, and Fraud prevention solutions (e.g., Falcon Fraud Manager)
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Experience working directly with medium to large corporations as clients.
- Proficiency with tools like Confluence, Jira, or similar platforms.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
What would be great to have:
- Prior experience in FinTech environment with large scale enterprise platforms
- Payment processing, including authorizations at either point-of-sale or Card-Not-Present (eCommerce/digital), clearing and settlement systems, fraud/security and transaction systems / analytics.
- Payment processing for financial Institutions, specifically for debit cards, and credit card systems, as well as financial services with high-volume, and large-scale processing and reporting.
