Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Network Support Technician to join our IT team. This role serves as the first line of technical support for network-related issues, providing prompt assistance to users, performing routine monitoring of network systems, and escalating complex issues to senior engineers when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the initial point of contact for users reporting technical or network-related problems.
- Provide first-level support by identifying, analyzing, and resolving basic network and connectivity issues.
- Monitor network performance, system alerts, and outages using network monitoring tools.
- Document support incidents, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the helpdesk ticketing system.
- Escalate unresolved or complex technical issues to higher-level engineers in a timely manner.
- Assist in maintaining network documentation and inventory of hardware components.
- Collaborate with IT team members to ensure effective resolution of user issues and system stability.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1–3 years of experience in IT support or network operations.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN).
- Familiarity with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and troubleshooting tools.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ticketing systems and remote troubleshooting tools.
- Associate’s degree or relevant technical certification (CompTIA Network , CCNA preferred) is a plus.
