Job Overview :
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to assist in the scheduling, planning, forecasting, resourcing, and technical management of our multifamily renovation projects. This role will include operational oversight and a key responsibility in subcontractor onboarding. The Project Engineer will work closely with the Project Manager and other team members to ensure project success through effective coordination, technical guidance, and maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Preconstruction Procedures : Facilitate preconstruction activities, ensuring all required documentation and processes are followed.
- Document Transfer : Manage the transfer of project documents from Sales to Operations to ensure smooth project handoff.
- Handoff Meetings : Chair meetings to transition projects from Sales to Operations effectively.
- Scheduling : Build out and manage project schedules with direction from the Project Manager.
- Purchase Orders : Coordinate with the Purchasing Specialist to develop initial purchase orders.
- Permit and Client Reporting : Oversee all permit applications and ensure timely reporting to clients on project progress.
- Change Orders and RFIs : Track and report open change orders, to-dos, and RFIs to the VP of Operations.
- Closeout Process : Compile and send closeout documentation to clients and manage internal project closeout procedures.
- Budget Monitoring : Monitor and report on project budgets weekly to the VP of Operations.
- Task Flexibility : Assist with other tasks as needed, as directed by the STAG Supervisor.
Skills and Qualifications :
Strong math skills (basic arithmetic and algebra).
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field.
