Vintage Cellar Hand
About the Role:
We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Vintage Cellar Hands at Stags Leap Wine Cellars.
Responsibilities:
- Wash and sanitize all wine contact equipment.
- Perform all stages of barrel work on metal racks and stacks.
- Complete work orders, measuring and recording movements and treatments accurately.
- Operate all crush equipment, including presses, and perform tasks such as moving, racking, blending, fining, filtering, and completing additions to wine.
- Prepare and break down bottling operations.
- Conduct minor mechanical repairs and equipment maintenance.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to work nights and/or weekends during the harvest season or as business requires.
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Two to four years of previous wine or beverage production experience.
Working Conditions:
Projects can take place both indoors and outdoors, with varying temperatures depending on the season. Some tasks occur at height on catwalks, scissor lifts, or ladders, with moderate noise levels. Regularly required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and roll, move, and/or lift 60-gallon empty wine barrels when needed.
