We're seeking a dedicated and passionate producer for a powerful documentary exploring the experiences of former foster care children. This project will focus on individuals who have aged out of the system, those who were returned to the system, and other unique experiences within foster care.
About the Filmmaker
The director is a former foster child and adoptee, bringing a personal and authentic perspective to this important subject matter.
Ideal Candidate
- Passionate about social issues, particularly those related to foster care and adoption
- Experience in documentary filmmaking, especially with sensitive subjects
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with a limited budget
- Network of contacts in the documentary film industry and / or foster care community
- Empathy and sensitivity when working with subjects sharing personal stories
- Proven experience with crowdfunding campaigns, preferably for film projects
- Understanding of social media and online marketing strategies for fundraising
