Computer Systems Specialist Manufacturing (Liverpool, NY)
We are looking for a Computer Systems Specialist for a global aerospace company. In this role, you will manage our computer systems and networks, supporting the Production floor, personnel, and operations. Will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our computer systems and networks, as well as providing technical support to production personnel. This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and manufacturing operations.
This is a 12-month contract (extensions likely), 40-hour-per-week role (Mon-Thu 9 hours and Friday 4 hours), and an Onsite role in Liverpool, NY.
This is a W-2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain special computer systems and networks supporting the Production floor, including hardware, software, and infrastructure.
- Ensure system stability, security, and efficiency, and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with the IT department to ensure alignment with company-wide IT strategies and policies.
- Provide technical support to production personnel, including training and assistance with computer systems and software applications.
- Develop and maintain documentation for computer systems and networks, including user manuals and technical guides.
- Work closely with production teams to ensure computer systems and networks are aligned with manufacturing operations and goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with company cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the IT department to implement and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect computer systems and networks.
- Manage projects related to computer systems and network upgrades, implementations, and migrations.
- Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to ensure successful project execution.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on computer systems and networks.
- Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and infrastructure, including Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices.
- US Citizenship is required.
- Bachelor's Degree.
