Research Scientist - Cell Culture - Pharma (Onsite- San Diego, CA)
We are seeking a Research Scientist - Cell Culture for a global pharmaceutical company. You will utilize your expertise in cell culture and the production / purification of Bacmid DNA and recombinant protein to contribute to our ongoing research projects.
This is a 40-hour per-week, 12-month contract (extensions possible), 100% onsite role in San Diego, CA.
This is a W2 role as a Stage 4 Solutions employee. Health benefits and 401K are offered.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain and optimize cell culture processes for both insect and mammalian cells for heterologous protein expression
- Prepare Bacmid DNA and conduct transfection in insect or mammalian cells.
- Manage both small- and large-scale cultures using shake flasks
- Perform inoculation, feed, infection, sampling, and harvest processes in shaker flasks and bioreactors. Diligently track and resupply reagents and consumables
- Produce high-quality materials accompanied by appropriate control experiments and thorough documentation
- Adhere to all laboratory safety protocols and continuously update skills as needed.
