Position Title : Preschool/Toddler/Infant/Lead/Asstistant Teacher
Position Available: Immediately
Reports to : Director
Position Description: CDA or credential Lead Toddler cares for toddlers ages 18 months to 3 years old. Infant Teacher cares for 6 weeks to 18 months & Preschool for 3 - 5 yr olds - Teachers will provide children with experiences and opportunities that allow for the development of curiosity, initiative, problem-solving, and creativity, as well as a sense of self and a feeling of belonging to a group. Responsible for implementing lesson plans and weekly newsletters. Will work and manage assistant teacher to provide quality care for children.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Observe, monitor and log children’s daily activities, diaper, feed and play with children.
- Keep records on individual children, including daily observations and information about activities.
- Communicate with children’s parents or guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related issues. Maintain a safe environment
- Create curriculum, crafts, songs and games appropriate to age group
Minimum Qualifications:
Lead Teacher - MUST have Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Development OR Child Development Associate (CDA). - The ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience as per NY State Office of Childcare and Family Service regulations. Applicant with verifiable CDA plan of study will be on rate scale.
Assistant Teachers & Lead Teachers- Must be 16 years and over have childcare experience, preferably in a childcare setting. Experience working with toddlers of ages 18 months to 3 years - Preferably in a Childcare setting.
Must be able to provide the best quality care for toddlers, nurturing and loving them.
Impeccable references and proven track record of being able to come to work on time, follow instructions, multi task and have a contagious SMILE !
Must be at least 18 years of age
Hours: Monday through Friday, Varying Shifts - MUST BE FLEXIBLE!!
Salary: Hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.50 - $17.00 per hour
