Job Summary:
The Inventory Control Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the inventory management system, particularly concerning manufactured goods and production processes. This position is also responsible for identifying and locating missing manufactured parts to support uninterrupted production operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct cycle counts for manufactured stock items to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Assist in reconciling inventory discrepancies by investigating differences between system quantities and physical counts.
- Perform inventory control tasks, including replacing barcode tags and labeling parts.
- Facilitate the proper storage and organization of stock parts.
- Support efforts to locate and retrieve manufactured parts as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and perform housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School diploma, or equivalent, is required
- Proficient computer skills using MS Office software and accurate data entry is required
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations is required
- Associates degree is preferred
- ERP system experience is preferred
Physical Demands:
- Regularly required to stand/walk (4 - 6 hours), sit (2 - 4 hours), and move about the facility
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT (PPE):
- Required to use safety glasses, hearing protection, and wear safety toed shoes
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Plant environment such as noise, dust, odors, and fumes
- Exposed to any number of elements, but none present to the extent of being disagreeable
- Excessive heat in the summertime
