POSITION SUMMARY:
The Mobile Medication Management (MMM) Lead Nurse is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) functioning as a clinical member of the Medication Monitoring team, and supports the Director of Medication Monitoring. Duties include the following: overseeing medication monitoring systems in office and services provided in-home to clients in need of skills training, symptom management, and resource coordination. Additionally, the Lead Nurse is responsible for the direct supervision of the Program Nurses as well as proving direct in ?home mental health and physical healthcare education, including the coordination of medication and related healthcare services. The MMM Lead Nurse offers consultation and teaching to all co-workers to ensure that up-to-date information is maintained regarding medical issues and medication monitoring systems , as well as, assuring that program policies & procedures are being followed. This position will also be responsible for providing annual Medication Certification Training to all staff, in addition to providing ongoing medication training with staff in the community. The MMM Lead Nurse will also participate in the MMM Supervisor on-call system. The incumbent will maintain a focus on mental health recovery approaches through leadership by example, coaching and the development of programmatic systems that promote interdisciplinary collaboration
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Licensed Practical Nurse with NAPNES medication certification; experience working with individuals with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
- Strong clinical skills with working knowledge of mental health system, psychiatric rehabilitation and recovery principles.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, organizational skills, knowledge of practical self-care skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to effectively work with persons with mental illness and/or developmental disabilities and implement medication monitoring plans for their program participation.
- Act 33/34/31 and FBI Clearances
- Valid driver's license with access to a vehicle during scheduled work hours
