About this role
As an FP&A Analyst, you’ll sit at the intersection of Finance, Strategy, and Data, helping us understand business performance, forecast future growth, and support commercial decision-making. Your work will provide clarity and insight to key stakeholders across the business including our Senior Leadership Team, enabling better, faster decisions.
- Data-driven insights: Use SQL, BI tools and GSheets to analyze financial and operational data, turning numbers into clear, actionable insights.
- Commercial finance & business partnering: Work with teams such as Product, Marketing, and Operations to evaluate financial impacts, pricing strategies, contract management, and growth initiatives.
- Revenue & expense analysis: Monitor key financial drivers, identifying trends and opportunities for optimization.
- Reporting & automation: Execute, build and improve financial models, dashboards, and reporting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Accounting & financial close support: Assist in ensuring financials are accurate, working closely with statutory finance and treasury during monthly close cycles.
- Budgeting & forecasting: Support financial planning cycles, working on budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to track Stake’s performance.
A bit about you
- 4 years of experience in finance, commercial finance, data analytics, or a related role.
- SQL skills – comfortable writing queries, extracting data, and working with large datasets.
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets skills – financial modeling, pivot tables, automation.
- Strong commercial acumen – you understand key business drivers and how financial data translates into strategic decisions.
- Accounting knowledge – solid understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow (CPA/CA/CFA not required, but a plus if you have this or have a desire to obtain it).
- Budgeting & forecasting experience is a plus – experience managing financial plans and analyzing variances.
- Experience with BI tools (HEX, Databricks, Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar) strongly preferred.
- A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
