Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist is a full-time, exempt-level position reporting directly to the Vice President of People and Culture. This role is responsible for managing a wide range of daily HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, internal investigations, policy development, compliance audits, employee engagement initiatives, and enforcement of policies and procedures.
The HR Generalist will serve as a key point of contact for employees and managers across our multi-state, multi-company organization, contributing to a positive and productive workplace environment.

The HR Generalist plays a vital role in supporting a workforce of approximately 200 employees across the United States. This position helps embed HR practices into daily operations and ensures that employees and managers understand and use them effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of the candidate screening, hiring, onboarding, and orientation processes
- Optimize and oversee HRIS systems to support communication, recordkeeping, compliance, and department efficiency

Administer and support company programs such as:
- Open enrollment for employee benefits
- Referral bonus program
- EEO-1/VETS-4212 reporting
- Employee recognition programs
- Internal surveys and feedback tools
- Monitor and evaluate HR-assigned training programs to ensure completion and compliance
- Advise managers on HR-related matters and contribute to policy review and development
- Stay current with federal and state employment laws, regulatory updates, and internal policies
- Participate in internal audits and help resolve any compliance findings
- Collaborate with leadership and employees to promote strong working relationships, morale, productivity, and employee retention
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

3–5 years of HR Generalist or specialist experience in two or more of the following areas:
- Recruitment and onboarding
- Benefits administration
- Compliance and reporting
- Employee relations
- Training and development
- Strong understanding of employment laws and compliance requirements across multiple states
- Demonstrated experience with HRIS systems and using them to enhance HR operations, reporting, and employee communications
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational, and analytical skills
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity
- Ability to understand organizational structure, roles, and qualifications
- Proven time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related platforms
