Position Overview
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) at Stallergenes Greer plays a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and researchers within the medical community. The MSL will serve as a trusted scientific expert, providing medical and scientific information to support our products and therapeutic areas.
Major Accountabilities
- Identify, develop and manage a scientifically credible and respected effective working relationship with both internal and external customers and advance Key Opinion/Thought Leaders on a continuum of advocacy in support of company objectives.
- Search, read, interpret, and convey pertinent medical literature and clinical efficacy and safety information in the assigned therapeutic area and establish self as a valuable resource to both internal and external customers.
- Maintain a level of medical-scientific knowledge in the area of food allergy involving clinical/medical/scientific and technical issues related to Stallergenes Greer’s products. Remain current to be able to interpret and convey pertinent scientific data and evaluate new information.
- Cultivate collaborative working relationships between Medical Affairs and cross-functional team members including.
- Contribute to periodic updates of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) and responses to standard response letters in a fair and balanced manner.
- Tactical delivery of programs according to established objectives and serving as a resource for education and dissemination of pertinent, clear, and balanced medical-scientific information to internal audiences (Marketing, Market Access, Medical Affairs, R&D and Sales) and external audiences (healthcare professionals, consumers, patient organizations, specialty pharmacies, payers, etc.).
- Coordinate and conduct professional education presentations and programs, and peer education in product training, to internal and external audiences.
- Conduct both on label and off label discussions with perspective customers in response to inquiries.
- Be flexible, diplomatic and manage expectations.
- Attend assigned local, regional and national allergy related meetings or any other meeting/course as requested by the Senior Director of Medical Affairs.
- Ensure that all interactions and communications comply with relevant ethical, regulatory and compliance guidelines.
Professional Experience/Qualifications
- This position requires an advanced clinical degree, (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO), however NP, PA, RPh, MS, MSN or a BS degree in science/medicine will be considered, with exceptional field and/or clinical biologics or pharmaceutical experience.
- Prior experience in providing MSL-level support to products or devices in the therapeutic areas of allergy, respiratory or dietary. Experience in KOL development, patient advocacy, scientific educational presentations and programs is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years in the biologics, pharmaceutical or healthcare industry; preferred knowledge in the area of allergen immunotherapy.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
