What are the responsibilities and job description for the Distribution Associate position at Stallergenes Greer?
Job brief
The Distribution Associate verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties.
- Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records
- Receives and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper or purchasing to rectify the issues.
- Determines method of shipment, for customer orders and return to supplier items, where applicable
- Prepares customer orders for shipment, including packaging and identification of such orders.
- Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
- Must be able to lift upto 50Lbs.
- Must be able to work in an adverse environment. 1- 5 degrees Celsius with proper PPE.
- Operates tier lift truck or uses hand-truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Other duties may be assigned
