What are the responsibilities and job description for the IVD Technician position at Stallergenes Greer?
This position requires the following for employment at Stallergenes Greer and includes but not limited to:
- Work with hazardous chemicals
- Work with pathogenic organisms
- Manufacture extracts (start extracts, clarify extracts, final filter, and fill aseptically)
- Grow and harvest Dia-Kit fungi and bacteria
- Order labels and label vials of extract
- Set up various laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for tests, or processing
- Perform various test including potency and moisture
- Able to prioritize work activities.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
Physical Demand(s):
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Sit for long periods of time.
- Lift 25lbs frequently and = 50lbs occasionally.
- Cannot have allergies
- Basic computer and math skills.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Good reasoning skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique is preferred.
- GDP is a must.
- Able to prioritize work activities
- Knowledge of J D Edwards or equivalent software
