Role Summary:

The Branch Manager is responsible for all activities pertaining to operating the branch. The person will have a full and complete understanding of all products and services provided by the branch. They will supervise, coach and mentor other staff positions to ensure organizational performance including all safety standards. The person will have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain constant communication with sales, operations, customer service and the customer to ensure the team fulfills the commitments made to each customer and themselves.

Role Priorities / Responsibilities:

  • Product and Pricing Knowledge for all rental and service items offered by Stallion.
  • Collaborate with all Product Line Manages and Subject Matter Experts.
  • All aspects of Operational Knowledge and Procedures.
    • Order Fulfillment
    • Equipment Cleanliness
    • Shop and Yard Procedures
    • Personnel Management, Development, and Direction, including overtime efficiency
    • Truck Maintenance and Upkeep
  • Complete understanding of the entire customer service process including order entry, complaint resolution, inventory availability, and accounts receivable.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams.
  • Identify corrective actions or improvement opportunities.
  • Manage all KPIs to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.
  • Train, coach, and mentor all branch staff so they perform to company standards.
  • Works with Route Optimization Managers to coordinate routes and deliveries / pickups to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Reports on operational activities, i.e., route optimization and density, labor & overtime, fuel utilization, quality of customer care, etc.
  • Assist with planning and executing special events as they occur.
  • Reviews all paperwork generated and system utilization by drivers including manifests, P&D tickets, route sheets, DVIR’s, expense reports, etc. for completion and accuracy.
  • Reviews and approves e-time punches prior to payroll submission.
  • Reviews and approves time off request forms and schedules time off based on operational capacity.
  • Works with fleet DOT manager for fleet DOT administration including, logbooks & record maintenance (DQF’s), etc.
  • Responsible for the administration of the company’s safety program for all functions. Works with Safety & HR to coordinate safety training, where necessary.
  • Special projects as assigned by management.

Essential Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2 years of equivalent as Branch Manager experience
  • Superior coaching, mentoring, and training capabilities
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to brainstorm and execute creative ideas
  • Exceptional relationship building skills at all levels
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and constantly re-evaluate priorities or deadlines
  • Enthusiastic, deadline-driven, team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Driver’s license with a safe driving record

Preferred Qualifications, Education or Certifications (if applicable):

  • Experience in all aspects of Operational team activities and priorities to achieve 100% customer satisfaction
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Oracle, Concur, ServiceCore, Field FX, RentalMan, and Salesforce.
