| Location: Naval Hospital Jacksonville Labor Category: Psych Tech LPN - Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit (IBHU) Place of Performance: The work to be performed under this contract will be at Naval Hospital Jacksonville and associated branch medical clinics within a 50-mile radius of the assigned MTF. The HCW will be assigned to a primary location; however, the government retains the right to assign each HCW to another location within a 50-mile commuting radius of their assigned Military Treatment Facility (MTF). HCWs shall receive notification 72 hours before the reassignment to another location with a 50-mile commuting radius of their assigned MTF. Recognized Holidays: Contract HCWs will be required to work on federally recognized holidays. Hours of Performance: The performance hours of the MTF are as follows: Naval Hospital Jacksonville: 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. Work Schedule: The MTF operates 365 days per year, 7 days a week, 24 hours per day. The HCW shall normally provide services for six 12.5-hour periods, (to include an uncompensated 30-minute meal break) and one 8.5-hour period (to include an uncompensated 30-minute meal break) per two-week period. In no instance will an individual HCW be required to provide services above 80 hours per two-week period. Minimum Qualifications: • Degree: Certificate. • Education: For a Psych Tech: Graduation from an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program; or completion of an equivalent education and experience that meets the requirement of the American Association of Psychiatric Technicians or completion of education and experience as a behavioral science specialist/technician in the United States military and proof of having completed an Armed Forces course involving psychiatric technician training or civilian course from an accredited school in the care of behavioral health patients. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Experience: For a Psych Tech: One year of experience as a Psychiatric Technician after graduation. Provide two (2) letters of recommendation from practicing physicians or peers attesting to his/her clinical skills. Reference letters must include name, title, phone number, date of reference, address, and signature of the individual providing reference. Letters of reference must have been written within the preceding two years. |
