What are the responsibilities and job description for the Endocrinology Opportunity in Stamford CT position at Stamford Health Medical Group?
Stamford Health Medical Group (SHMG) in partnership with Stamford Hospital is seeking an additional full-time endocrinologist, available to start in 2025. The endocrinology group practices out of five (5) office locations : Stamford, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, and Wilton. Initially the new physician will work out of the Stamford office and after 6-8 months, will begin rotating to one of the other office locations 1-2 days per week. This is a hard-working busy practice, but family is important to all of them, and they understand the need for a good work-life balance. The ideal candidate is either fellowship trained in obesity medicine or interested in working 1-2 weeks per month in hospital.

- Hospital call shared 1 : 8
- Clinically diverse practice; will see all kinds of cases
- 2 hybrid endocrinologists rotate 2 weeks through the hospital
- 2 hybrid endocrinologists cover the Medical Weight Loss Clinic
- Certified Diabetes Program in place, including a nutritionist
- Schedule is M - F, no patients after 5pm
- Teach Residents and Med Students 1x every 3 months
