We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our Facilities Team at our prestigious private yacht club. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our club's facilities during the busy season.
Responsibilities:
1. Facility Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and repairs of the club's facilities, including buildings, docks, outdoor areas, and other structures as directed by the Facilities Manager. This includes tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs, and general maintenance duties.
2. Cleaning and Sanitation: Collaborate with the facilities team to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are upheld throughout the club's facilities. This may involve cleaning restrooms, common areas, equipment, and other designated areas.
3. Equipment and Inventory: Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies necessary for facility operations. Report any equipment malfunctions or shortages promptly to the Facilities Manager.
4. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while performing tasks. Identify potential safety hazards and report them to the Facilities Manager immediately.
5. Member Service: Provide excellent customer service to club members and guests, responding to inquiries, and addressing facility-related concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
6. Event Support: Assist in setting up and tearing down for club events, including furniture arrangements, audiovisual equipment setup, and other tasks as needed.
7. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the facilities team to ensure efficient workflow and achieve departmental goals. Support colleagues in their duties when necessary.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in facility maintenance, landscaping, or related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs, and general maintenance techniques.
- Familiarity with landscaping tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, lift heavy objects, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
