Summary
Performs financial activities for the Finance Department by conducting the following duties :
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations within the company including but not limited to : Deposits, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Inventory
- General Ledger maintenance including Balance Sheet and Income Statement reconciliations
- Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance teams and maintain Fixed Asset subsidiary ledger
- Prepare journal entries related to Sales, Inventory, Banking activity, Payroll, Accruals, and various other entries
- Prepare daily cash requirement reports and review reconciliations
- Manage the period-end and year-end financial closing activities
- Prepare Period End Financial Reports and Managerial Reports
- Support key financial statement analysis
- Collaborate with production staff to analyze Inventory Accounting Transactions to identify trends, variances, and potential issues
- Support the semi-annual bank and financial audits
- Prepare schedules for the income tax return
- Generate Ad Hoc reports and perform analytics focused on driving efficiencies and cost savings
- Support Management with the plant's budget planning
- Assist Management with time sensitive special projects
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and / or Experience
3 years of Accounting / Finance experience. Plant accounting experience is a plus. Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Business required. Advanced Excel Skills, including knowledge of Pivot Tables and Data Lookup Formulas required. Understanding of accounting principles is critical.
