Role Responsibilities:
The Parts Counter Person is the primary contact for part sales to customers and technicians. Responsibilities include:

Assisting customers and technicians in selecting required parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.

Keeping customers informed about the status of their orders and obtaining credit authorization as needed.

Collecting payments from retail customers and ensuring stock remains filled.
-
Maintaining inventory by locating out-of-stock parts or shop materials and handling service repair orders.
-
Managing internal requests for parts, maintaining a lost sales tracking program, and tracking results.

Reporting lost sales, price quotes, and other information to the parts manager.

Answering phone calls and providing information on orders, invoices, and special-order parts.

Keeping records of all repair orders and setting up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pickup.

Maintaining a department workspace and receiving/processing all parts orders.

Understanding and controlling parts inventory, creating bin locations for new stock, and notifying customers about parts arrivals.

Preparing items for returns and shipping.

Additional Requirements:

Ability to pass background and drug screenings.

High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).

Experience with auto parts sales (preferred).
