Essential Functions:- Assist students in navigating the financial aid process, including completing applications, verifying documents, and submitting required forms.
- Conduct financial aid presentations and individual counseling sessions to ensure students understand their financial options and responsibilities.
- Evaluate student financial aid applications to determine eligibility for various federal, state, and institutional aid programs.
- Maintain accurate and complete student financial aid records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other university departments to resolve complex financial aid issues and provide excellent service to students.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in financial aid regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Assist with the development and implementation of financial aid policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as finance, accounting, or education.
- Previous experience in a financial aid or student services role within higher education.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state financial aid programs and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively explain complex information to diverse audiences.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Customer service-oriented mindset, with a strong commitment to student success.
- Proficient in computer applications, including financial aid management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- $21-$23/hr. (Salary is based on experience and education.)
