General Statement of Job:
Area Manager is responsible for managing a team of field managers to ensure that the company performs timely and effectively for our customer and labor sources. Making sure that our Field Managers are managing both time and resources is critical to making certain paint and drywall projects completed on time. This position is responsible for making sure projects are managed, fully staffed when appropriate and that workers can access tools and building materials. The Area Manager is expected to work autonomously to accomplish his/her goals and requires an individual with strong organization, time management skills, and self-motivation.
Essential Job Functions:
- Managing a team of Field Managers
- Making critical decisions on daily operations and customer service
- Management of daily functions of paint and drywall process
- Provide coverage for Field Managers during an absence or while on PTO
- Communication of information captured in field to labor as well as other team members
- Management of daily labor with respect to following appropriate schedules and timelines
- Effective management of labor and materials on job level
- Maintaining relationships with construction managers of national builders in communities
- Other functions assigned.
Education, Experience, and Training:
- High school graduation or other equivalent (i.e., GED, college, technical or trade school transcript, foreign equivalency, etc.).
- Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite)
- Fluent in Spanish a plus but not required.
- (2) Years of field management or construction management preferred but not required.
