GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
Drywall/Paint Field Technician is responsible for completing all aspects of drywall installation and painting applications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
• General drywall installation and repair.
• Installs drywall panels to wood studs.
• Measures and cuts drywall panels to fit in and around specific spaces such as doors, windows, electrical outlets, and lighting fixtures.
• Uses drywall compound to fill in and cover joints, screws, nails, and other imperfections.
• Sands joint compound once dry and applies drywall tape.
• Prepares surfaces to be painted, which may include removing prior finishes through chemicals, sanding, or other methods.
• Creates textured surfaces when requested.
• Applies paint to interior and exterior surfaces using brushes, rollers, sprayers, and other tools.
• Complies with chemical and waste storage and disposal regulations and best practices.
• Builds scaffolding according to safety regulations and works from ladders.
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
• High school graduation or other equivalent (i.e., GED, college, technical or trade school transcript, foreign equivalency, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license for 3 years and insurable with Company insurance company
• 2-3 years’ experience preferred

• Typical hours of operation 7:00 am – 4:00 pm / Monday - Friday

• Must be able to climb, reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl frequently.
• Ability to climb up and down steps
• The position occasionally may require lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) multiple times a day
WORKING ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS
• This position requires working in indoor and outdoor environments.
• Individuals may be exposed to varying temperatures including very hot (above 90 degrees F) or very cold (below 32 degrees F) and all-weather conditions.
