QA Engineer

STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta and more, including internationally in Mexico, India and Japan.

We are looking for a highly motivated QA Engineer to maintain and expand our web automation efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and enhancing our existing Python/Selenium framework, identifying new automation opportunities, and driving improvements in our testing infrastructure. You will work closely with internal and external teams to ensure the quality and stability of our digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the existing web framework compatible with Azure and GitHub Action pipelines.
• Identify and implement robust solutions for web automation.
• Lead and influence the direction of the web automation testing effort.
• Create and maintain web test scripts for functional and analytics-related test cases.
• Develop test scripts for production fixes and new website features.
• Collaborate with developers to implement optimized, reusable, and scalable test automation.
• Train and mentor the QA team in executing automation before release sign-offs.
• Provide guidelines and best practices for web automation.
• Maintain automation-related documentation repositories.
• Work closely with developers and QA teams to drive automation initiatives.
• Participate in monthly reporting on automation health and progress.

Qualifications

• Experience developing software or test automation frameworks using Python (preferred).
• Ability to prepare test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test summary documents.
• Experience producing and reporting project test metrics.
• Fundamental understanding of publisher-side ad tagging and video tracking measurement.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to follow instructions with a positive attitude.
• Self-starter with the ability to learn workflows quickly and execute results.
• Extensive experience in web quality assurance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive mindset.
• QA and test automation experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Kotlin, and Swift.
• Strong data analytics skills and automation engineering experience.
• Experience testing video players (e.g., HTML5, AVF, ExoPlayer, JW Player, TheoPlayer).
• Proficiency in testing frameworks and tools.
• Experience with GitHub and Azure DevOps Infrastructure.
• Familiarity with tools, processes, and frameworks such as Mabl, Python, Selenium, DataDog, and Docker.
• Strong understanding of advertising platforms (e.g., Freewheel, GAM, Google IMA) and video ad delivery technologies (e.g., CSAI, SSAI, DAI).
• Experience in QA testing for web, mobile, and OTT platforms using tools like Charles Proxy.

Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $73 - $83/per hour, depending on experience.

Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
