We are seeking an experienced Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator / SQL Developer to support enterprise applications and projects. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience working with SQL Server 2016-2022 and involves database administration, development, integration, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in SQL, T-SQL, and data reporting tools while also having experience with performance optimization, high availability, and disaster recovery solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain SQL databases based on business requirements.
- Ensure database performance, reliability, and stability.
- Develop reports using SSRS and other reporting tools.
- Create data integration solutions using SSIS.
- Build data visualizations using Power BI and SSAS.
- Develop basic SharePoint applications for data management.
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for SQL databases and applications.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in SQL and T-SQL for database development and optimization.
- Experience creating and modifying SQL databases and writing complex queries.
- Strong experience testing and troubleshooting SQL-based applications and integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Always On High Availability Groups.
- Expertise in Disaster Recovery implementation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power BI, SSRS, and SSIS.
- Ability to follow direction from a business analyst or project manager.
- Knowledge of Python, ASP.Net, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, and PowerShell.
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
- 5 years of experience in SQL Server database administration and development.
- Experience working with software vendors.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $70 - $80 /per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
