Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role requires expertise in systems administration and engineering to support and manage a highly virtualized network and server infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have 4 years of experience in Windows Server administration, virtualization, backup solutions, Active Directory, Azure, and cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Active Directory Administration (On-prem/Azure AD, AD Trusts, ADCS, Group Policy)
• Windows Systems Administration - configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Server Deployment & Upgrades - builds and implements Windows Servers (including migrations to Windows Server 2022/2025)
• Cisco UCS Converged/Hyperconverged Infrastructure management with Intersight
• Email Security & Messaging - administration of Mimecast and Exchange
• Microsoft 365/O365/Purview Administration
• Backup & Recovery - Veeam Backup and Recovery administration
• SQL Server Administration - high availability and cluster management
• Virtualization - VMware administration
• Cloud Services - experience with Azure cloud solutions
• Patch Management - Windows, Linux, and applications
• Incident Management & Troubleshooting - monitoring and resolving server issues
• Disaster Recovery Planning & Execution
• Storage Administration - experience with Pure Storage SAN systems
• Mobile Device Management (MDM) - Intune, Kandji
• Scripting & Automation - experience with PowerShell scripting
• Monitoring & Configuration Management - SCOM and SCCM administration
• Data Center Operations - racking, installation, configurations, cable management, UPS/PDU monitoring
• Web Services Administration - IIS, Tomcat, WordPress
• Network Access Control (NAC) - experience with NAC technologies

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience in Systems Administration and Systems Engineering
• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• Certifications (Preferred):
  • Microsoft Certifications - Fundamentals, Associate, or Expert (MCSE, MCSD, MCSA)
  • ITIL v3 or v4 Foundation
  • Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)
  • VMware Certifications - VCTA, VCP, VCAP, or VCDX
  • Pure Storage - Associate or Professional Certification

Additional Details

The base range for this contract position is $65 - $75 /per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
