Business Intelligence Platform Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Tableau Server Administrator to manage, optimize, and automate our Tableau Server environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in server administration, security, and automation to ensure seamless operation and accessibility of Tableau platforms. This role requires expertise in scripting, performance monitoring, and integration with enterprise security solutions.

The Tableau Server Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing Tableau Server and Online environments, implementing automation processes, managing security configurations, and troubleshooting performance issues.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute scripts to automate Tableau Server upgrades for improved performance and security.


• Automate inactive user account management using Python, Tableau REST API, and custom scripts.


• Monitor and optimize Tableau Server performance with administration tools like Tabmon and Logshark.


• Configure and manage Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions (OpenID, OKTA, IDAM, ICAM) for secure access.


• Handle content management, user permissions, and server monitoring for Tableau Server and Online.


• Automate administrative tasks using Tabadmin, Tabcmd, PowerShell, and Tableau REST API.


• Troubleshoot server performance, user access, and connectivity issues.


• Maintain and optimize analytics platforms such as Tableau Desktop and Server.


• Configure and update Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google BigQuery for accurate tracking.


• Lead Tableau Server to Tableau Online migration, ensuring seamless integration with cloud-based data sources.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Tableau Server and Online administration.


• Proficiency in PowerShell and Python scripting.


• Strong understanding of Tableau REST API and automation tools.


• Experience with SSO solutions (OpenID, OKTA, IDAM, ICAM).


• Knowledge of server monitoring tools (Tabmon, Logshark).


• Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Google BigQuery.


• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.


• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $55 - $65 /per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
